Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist position reports to the Human Resources Manager.   The HR Generalist provides support for the HR function in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, and training.  In addition, in this role, the Human Resources Generalist focus is on recruiting and is responsible for finding exceptional candidates.  The Human Resources Generalist  independently manages the full recruitment cycle, while providing internal support to hiring managers, providing recruiting strategy and insight.

 

Job Duties:

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within an organization
  • Maintain current knowledge of compliance and regulatory concerns, industry trends and best HR practices
  • Assist with daily function of the HR department including hiring and interviewing, administering pay, benefits and leave and enforcing policies and practices
  • Maintain compliance of employee files, records and I-9’s ensuring documentation completeness and confidentiality
  • Ability to meet key recruiting performance metrics utilizing time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to creatively recommend sourcing strategies utilizing job boards, associations, employee referral programs, social media and internet searches
  • Provide hiring managers with interview and hiring best practices while making sure all hiring managers adhere to the established hiring processes
  • Lead in sourcing of passive qualified candidates for open and future roles to fill an ongoing pipeline of candidates
  • Conduct onboarding function for all new employees including onboarding paperwork, training schedule and equipment procurement
  • Collaborate with HR & Leaderships teams on ongoing organizational projects and initiatives
  • Partner with HR Manager on various projects and perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2-3 years of Human Resources or related experience, including full cycle recruiting experience
  • Strong time management, organizational and documentation skills
  • Provide assistance as needed with other administrative duties
  • Experience in a (small) manufacturing environment preferred; assembly of multi component equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to wear many hats
  • Highly organized and able to manage conflicting priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
